LASER ALTIMETRY HELICOPTER SURVEY OF CORIDOR

FLI-MAP (Fast Laser Imaging and Mapping Airborne Platform) is the latest, American - Dutch method for corridor survay (the definition of corridor - long and narrow belt of land).

Fli-MAP laser altimetry  survey can quickly scan the terrain from a helicopter with video and image recording high-resolution acquisition and processing of data necessary for making topographical plans. The system, which can be attached to several types of helicopters, passing the area of interest in collecting accurate data (GPS, altitude platform, the laser length and pictures).

FIRST LASER ALTIMETRY HELICOPTER SURVEY OF CORIDOR IN SERBIA

Overview of implementation of the first laser altimetry Helicopter survey executed in Serbia.

Company Evrogeomatika in May 2003 with the Republic Road Authority signed an agreement making topographical plans for the reconstruction of the road network. Total length of roads is 330 km.

With Public Enterprise Elektroistok, Evrogeomatika signed a contract for development of topographical plans for powerlines Obrenovac - Belgrade, total length of 60 km, with the width of the corridor of 60 m.

LASER ALTIMETRY SURVEY

The system of aerial laser altimetry survey known as LiDAR (light detection and ranging), is a relatively new method of data collection that provides a large amount of information about objects on the ground as well as the land forms with high density three-dimensional points, providing high quality representation of the recorded surface.

IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT CORINE LAND COVER  FOR REGION OF SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO

In order for Serbia and Montenegro to reach the level of activities related to land-cover assessment of resources with other European countries, European Commission has decided that through the regional support for the implementation of the CARDS program Corina Land Cover (CLC) project in Serbia and Montenegro. Creating database follows the standard methodology CLC - computer-supported visual interpretation of satellite images and defined nomenclature. Completed and verified, CLC database will be the first spatial data bases at the state level with the thematic content. The paper describes the project organization and process od  database development.

PRODUCTS AND APPLICATION OF LASER ALTIMETRY SURVEY

With high density of measured points aerial LIDAR system, or FLI-MAP system, began innovation in techniques of remote detection, push of the boundaries of traditional methods of survey. When it comes to long corridors, such as roads, railways, power lines, embankments, etc. laser altimetry survey is new method of collecting data in a quick and economical way.
